For DOGS 8 YEARS and older

Senior Training

Our training programs for senior dogs focus on mental stimulation, gentle physical exercise, and adapting to their changing needs, helping them stay confident, comfortable, and connected to you through their golden years.

why Senior Dog training matters

Training isn’t just for puppies - senior dogs benefit from continued learning too! As dogs age, they may face mobility challenges, sensory changes, or cognitive decline, but engaging in training helps keep their minds sharp and their bodies active.

Whether it’s reinforcing good manners, learning new tricks, or adapting to changing needs, senior training enhances their quality of life and strengthens your bond.

Old Dogs, New Tricks

This is a fun and enriching class designed just for senior dogs! Through age-appropriate movement exercises, cognitive games, and social engagement, we help keep your older pup’s mind sharp and body strong.

This class is all about aging gracefully while continuing to enjoy quality training time with their favorite person - you! After all, why should younger dogs have all the fun?

Senior dogs must be in good health and comfortable around other dogs to participate.

TRAINING FOR EVERY STAGE

continuing Ed Classes

Senior dogs are welcome to participate in our Adolescent & Adult Training programs, where they can continue building skills, strengthening their bond with you, and staying mentally and physically engaged.

All of our dogs have loved the canine connection!

We have been including Canine Connection classes/training/boarding for the past 15 years. Dr Sarah and her staff have helped to get our last puppy to come out of his shell, and he shines with confidence now.

We have learned so much and are always pleased with the classes and behavior of our dogs. The Canine Connections staff absolutely love dogs and take such great care of them.
