Daycare & Boarding
Announcement About Daycare and Boarding - Please Read
We are full of happy dogs, very full! Indeed, on many days we have a waiting list of valued clients hoping their dogs can come and stay and play with us. With a few exceptions, we are only admitting new dogs into our daycare program only if they are or have been participants in our training program or are former clients with a new or returning dog.
Thank you for your understanding. Our mission is to provide nothing but the highest level of attention to and care of our dog and human friends - something we won’t compromise. We appreciate your patience while we provide excellent service to those who are currently in our program.

Your Dog’s Happy Place. Your Peace of Mind.
We know dogs. But just as much, we know what it’s like to be a dog parent when you’re away from your canine companion - whether for a day or for many days. Our goal, at The Canine Connection, is to make this separation worry-free for both you AND your dog.
Our daycare and vacation boarding experience for dogs starts with safety, adds in fun, blends in enrichment, and is topped off with an individualized approach that recognizes your dog’s unique needs.
Our daycare and overnight boarding programs are interwoven. Our overnight guests join our daycare groups during the day. Therefore, all our boarding guests must be regular members of our daycare program prior to staying overnight.

Daycare is SO much fun for dogs, but we take your dog’s fun seriously!
Our evaluation procedure ensures that we are doing right by dogs and ensuring that they will enjoy and benefit from the daycare experience. Daycare is not for all dogs!
Dogs are arranged by size, play style, and energy levels to ensure your dog gets the most out of day care.
Our skilled, attentive staff, supervise and manage the fun!
At the end of the sessions, dogs go home happy, tired, relaxed, and better socialized.
Whole Dog Journal recognized our daycare program as “daycare done right!”

Overnight boarding with “Canine Connection Care.”
What is "Canine Connection Care?" It is attention to dogs as if they were our own. No compromises. It includes:
Fun! Many of our clients refer to a stay at The Canine Connection as “Disney for Dogs”. Our center is a private dog resort with a magical spirit where dogs can run, romp or rest in the company of other playful dogs, supervised by a team of humans that is totally devoted to their care.
Round-the-clock supervision. Our skilled, attentive team is on duty 24 hours a day. We don’t rely on remote cameras or nearby residents who may (or may not) check in on your dog. We are present, attentive, and available around the clock, whenever your dog needs us.
Competent, caring staff. Our team members have successfully completed a leading industry-recognized program on dog behavior, group management, and care and are trained in pet first aid. We value continuing education and regularly participate in seminars, conferences, and ongoing trainings to bring leading edge knowledge to your dog’s care.
Attention to special needs. We accommodate any special meals or medication needs without additional cost. We know it’s particularly stressful to travel when your dog has special needs. We pride ourselves on going the extra mile for dogs requiring special care.

Reservations at The Canine Connection
We want your dog to have an optimum experience at The Canine Connection.
Because dogs stay and play in a social environment, we only accept dogs that enjoy the company of other dogs and are comfortable being cared for by people other than their parents.
We have a very thorough evaluation process that requires dogs to participate in a temperament evaluation and to be discount pass holders in our daycare program to participate in boarding.
Frequently Asked Questions
My dogs aren’t spayed or neutered. Are they eligible for your daycare and boarding?
All dogs who participate in our daycare program must be spayed or neutered by the time they are one year of age.
My dog has an unusual play style that some dogs don’t like. Is he eligible for daycare and boarding?
Generally speaking, the answer is “no.” Dogs who are part of our daycare program must be able to join one of our four play groups with ease. We call the groups: Rough and Readies (for high energy, playful youngsters), Playful Pooches (bouncy dogs who play with a little less gusto), Mature & Mellows (calm dogs that enjoy the enrichment of daycare without the high energy play), and The Littles.
My dog plays well with others, but it takes him awhile to warm up. Is he a candidate for daycare and boarding?
Possibly! With some dogs, we introduce them slowly to the experience of daycare through several short “happy” visits before they do a full daycare day with us. However, your dog must be happy being around other dogs, our staff team, our environment, and our routine for him to be part of our program. Our daycare program isn’t right for every dog and our commitment to you and your dog is to always do right by your dog, even if it means not including him in our daycare program.
Can puppies come to daycare? Can they board overnight with you?
Yes, if they are successful with our evaluation procedure! We do require that pups have completed all required vaccinations so they must be at least 4 months old.
What vaccinations and other documentation are required for daycare?
We require that your dog is current on DHPP (distemper-parvo), rabies, bordetella, and canine flu (note, this is a different vaccination than bordetella). Your dog must also recently have had a clear fecal exam.
