Group Classes

Pup 1 (Kindergarten/Elementary for pups 11 to 19 weeks at first session)

pup2This flagship class employs the latest knowledge about puppy development and behavior to help you and your pup get off to a positive head start. Taking advantage of an important window of opportunity in your puppy’s development, this class focuses on positive socialization with other pups and people and building a foundation of manners and skills. In this class, you will learn how to manage puppy energy and tackle unique puppy training challenges including house training, chewing, and biting. You’ll also learn how to get and keep your pup’s attention and build his impulse control. Your pup will learn how to be attentive to you, greet people politely, sit, lie down, and wait. He’ll also begin building enthusiastic recalls (come-when-called) and comfort with walking on a leash. Puppy agility and other activities are introduced to build learning and confidence in pups and to add challenge and fun!

Tuition Includes:

  • Five group sessions with puppies (Sessions 2 to 6 –  50 minutes per session)

“An excellent class! I feel like I understand so much more about my dog and what motivates his behavior. At the Canine Connection I learned some very valuable tools that I’ll be able to use to continue training my dog throughout his lifetime.”
