about the canine connection
Founded in 2002 by Dr. Sarah Richardson, The Canine Connection began with a simple goal: to help dogs and their owners build meaningful, joyful connections through positive training. With this goal in mind, the Academy was born.
Clients soon began asking for play sessions, daycare, and overnight care, which led to the birth of the Resort, now a premier destination for dogs seeking fun and enrichment by day and while their owners are away.
Now, almost a quarter century later, the Academy and Resort have helped generations of dogs and people discover the joys of force-free, dog-centered learning, play, and enrichment. We’re here to help you too!
